The Table Project has been a hot destination in Dubai where dozens of people from different backgrounds gather on a daily basis.

It is a community-led cultural hub located at Nida Sumar’s house, a Dubai-based Pakistani , where people come to enjoy traditional dishes and listen to historical and cultural stories.

Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Sumar’s project became a humanitarian spot for charitable work that aims to support those affected by the crisis, with the help of her friends and guests.

The Dubai Post team thus visited her house in Dubai to learn about her project and experience being stuck in New York due to flight restrictions.
