Rome: the Eternal City
Rome is one of the oldest cities in Europe; it has many ancient and famous monuments such as the coliseum, which is a stadium where gladiators used to battle.
There is also the Roman Auditorium, which was constructed in the year 80 AD. Moreover, the Pantheon, which was built in the year 125 AD is considered to be an architectural wonder.
Furthermore, The Vatican, which is a city-state, is located within it. The Vatican houses St. Peter's Basilica, which is the largest cathedral in existence; there is also the MAXXI, which is a museum for modern art, the first of its kind in Italy.
