In line with the UAE’s crackdown on the sale of wildlife and exotic animals as pets, Dubai Municipality has announced this week that a blanket ban will come into effect in July regarding the sale and purchase of such animals.

Dubai Municipality has stated that the list of banned predators includes lions, tigers, hyenas, crocodiles and other species that pose a threat to people’s lives and is in accordance with the provisions of Federal Law No. 22 of 2016 on the regulation of the acquisition of predators.
