The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Latifa Hospital in Dubai is one of the largest in the UAE. The hospital was built in 1987, and was previously known as Al Wasl Hospital.

The unit obtained the highest international accreditation, thanks to its distinguished use of advanced technologies and devices, in addition to the great experiences and skilled medical, technical, and nursing staff.

Annually, the total number of births in the hospital ranges between 4000 - 4,500 cases, while the average occupancy rate of beds in the intensive care unit is 85% and sometimes 100%.
