The longest flight in the world takes 19 hours…can you guess where it travels?

The world’s longest flight is between Singapore and New York. It takes 19 hours to travel the 16,700-kilometres (10,400-miles) between the two countries. The Singapore Airlines Flight SQ22 uses the long-range Airbus A350-900ULR, configured to carry 161 passengers – that’s 67 in business class and 94 in premium economy. The flight crew consists of two first officers and 13 cabin crew. Because the flight is so long, each member has to have 4 hours of rest to recharge their energy.
If you can’t sleep on a plane, no worries - because this flight has 1,200 hours of audio-visual entertainment that will help the time pass. There’s a huge range of dining options too, and they serve organic food. The plane also has higher than normal ceilings, larger windows and special lighting designed to reduce jet lag.
